Principal’s End of Year Message 

Dear Parents,

Our school year is quickly coming to an end.  You do not want to miss out on the following:

April 26-27, PYO Yard Sale--  This big event raises money for our students.  The trailer will be at the school the week prior to the sale and will be accepting donations from 9-11am, Monday-Friday.  Please spread the word and volunteer some of your time if you can.  Help is needed collecting during the week, setting up on Friday, running the sale both days, and packing up. Items for the silent auction are also being collected.  The money raised at these events goes directly toward the education of your children.

April 29^th thru May 3, CBT Testing Begins-- We will be testing all 3^rd, 4^th, and 5^th graders next week.  Please make sure that they do not miss school.  It is important to get enough sleep and a good breakfast.  Encouragement to do their best would be appreciated.  This is HIGH STAKES testing that is compared around the state.  Make up test will be May 6^th and 7^th.

May 3^rd, Ribbon Cutting for Outdoor Classroom--  Come at 11:30 and join us in celebrating the ribbon cutting of our Outdoor Classroom. During the event we will be honoring the generous donors and all the people who contributed to the creation of this amazing addition to Springdale Elementary.  The celebration will include live music and a performance by the students. Beverages will be provided, and we encourage you to bring lunch and enjoy the festivities.

May 9^th, District Science Fair—1^st Place Winners for each grade level will be representing our school.

May 13^th thru 16^th, Kindergarten Assessment--  There will be no school for Kindergarten students.  Parents will be notified when their child should be at school to be tested.

May 15^th, Kindergarten Round-Up—All students beginning next year are invited to come to school with their parents at 6:00 pm.  Students will meet their teacher and receive activities that they can be working on this summer.  They will also receive a Leap Frog to help them learn their letter names and sounds.  Don’t miss this opportunity to be ready for Kindergarten.

May 15^th, Community Council Mtg 4:00—Last meeting for the year.  Thanks for your dedication in attending these important meetings.

May 22^nd, Artists’ Reception at the Community Center—Please check out the art created by your children.  It will be on display from 2:00 to 8:00. 

May 22^nd, End of Year School Program 6:30 at the Community Center.  In addition, Kindergarten and 5^th graders will be graduating with a special good-bye to Mrs. Brinkley who is retiring.

May 21st, PTO Water Day—Thanks to the PTO we will again have all of the water activities that we had last year.  The fun begins at 12:00 noon.

May 23^rd, Last Day of School.  School will be dismissed at 12:00 noon.

Nuestro año escolar está llegando rápidamente a su fin. Usted no quiere perder la oportunidad de los siguientes:

 Abril 26-27, Pyo Yard Sale - Este gran evento recauda fondos para nuestros estudiantes. El trailer estará en la escuela a la semana antes de la venta y será aceptar donaciones de 9 a 11 am, de lunes a viernes. Pasa la voz y voluntarios parte de su tiempo, si puedes. Se necesita ayuda recogiendo durante la semana, la creación de este viernes, se ejecuta la venta dos días, y las maletas. También se están recolectando artículos para la subasta silenciosa. El dinero recaudado en estos eventos va directamente hacia la educación de sus hijos.

29 de abril al 3 de mayo de pruebas CBT Begins - Estaremos probando todo tercero, cuarto y quinto grado la próxima semana. Por favor, asegúrese de que no falten a la escuela. Es importante dormir lo suficiente y un buen desayuno. Estímulo a hacer lo mejor sería apreciada. Se trata de pruebas de altas apuestas que se compara en todo el estado. Maquillaje prueba será 06 de mayo y el 7.

3 de mayo, de corte de cintas para el aula al aire libre - Ven a las 11:30 y únete a nosotros en la celebración de la corte de la cinta de nuestra aula al aire libre. Durante el evento estaremos honrando a los donantes generosos y todas las personas que contribuyeron a la creación de esta adición increíble a Springdale Elementary. La celebración incluirá música en vivo y la actuación de los estudiantes. Se proporcionarán bebidas, y le animamos a traer el almuerzo y disfrutar de las fiestas.

09 de mayo, del Distrito Ciencia Fair-1st Place Los ganadores de cada grado estará representando a nuestra escuela.

13 a 16 may, Evaluación Kindergarten - No habrá clases para los estudiantes de kindergarten. Los padres serán notificados cuando su hijo debe estar en la escuela para ser probado.

15 de mayo de Kindergarten Round-Up-Todos los estudiantes a partir del próximo año están invitados a venir a la escuela con sus padres a las 6:00 pm. Los estudiantes se reunirán a su maestro y recibir las actividades que puedan estar trabajando en este verano. También recibirán un Frog Leap para ayudarles a aprender los nombres de las letras y los sonidos. No te pierdas esta oportunidad de estar listo para el Kindergarten.

15 de mayo, del Consejo de la Comunidad-Mtg 04:00 Última reunión del año. Gracias por su dedicación para asistir a las reuniones importantes.

21 de mayo, PTO Agua Day-Gracias a la PTO volveremos a tener todas las actividades acuáticas que tuvimos el año pasado. La diversión comienza a las 12:00 horas.

22 de mayo de recepción Artists 'de la Comunidad revisa el arte creado por los niños Center-Por favor. Estará en exhibición 02:00-08:00.

22 de mayo de Fin de Programa Año Escolar 6:30 en el Centro Comunitario. Además, Kindergarten y 5to grado se graduarán con un adiós especial a la Sra. Brinkley que se jubila.

23 de mayo, último día de clases. Escuela saldrán a las 12:00 del mediodía.
